Dear Mushka,

The Ignite Candles

To add a little gentle light to your homes, we’ve created the Ignite Scented Candles. I wish I could have you smell these candles in person. I know it’s hard to buy a candle online, but you have my promise that these candles smell amazing.

We worked with a number of companies over time to find the right fit, and finally found Diana from Terra Simply in St. Louis, Missouri. She was able to make my vision come to life and has created these incredible scents with essential oils. The candles are lead free, phthalate free and have a cotton wick. You can be totally at ease burning these in your home. And they‘re adorable, too!

Grapefruit and Mint Ignite Candle

I usually head for a fruit scented candle first - my favorite! The Grapefruit and Mint smells similar to the Anthropologie Volcano candle. I like to leave the lid off and enjoy the scent as I walk by it.

Sea Salt and Orchid Ignite Candle

I was unsure how this would smell, but Y’ALL! It smells like the perfect blend of spring and summer. It’s beachy and floral without either being overwhelming. This warm and dreamy scent is like vanilla, a little coconut, ocean and shea butter all wrapped up. It’s cozy with a pop of floral. Truly summer in a candle!

Cotton and Lavender

A scent you all know! Light one of these up for that fresh laundry smell. The lavender is subtle in this candle with the cotton smell more apparent.

I promise you’ll love these candles! With a burn time of about 50 hours, they’ll add scent to a whole room.

The Ignite Candles come paired with Psalm 119:105, “ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” I’m praying this over you all as you light up the little wick, as you read the Word on a dreamy morning, or set it out as you’re living real life with people all around you! God and His Word is worthy of our attention, time and top priority.

Christian Jewelry Pieces that Celebrate Motherhood

We're celebrating all aspects of motherhood with you this weekend - the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Thank you, Lord, for using even our pain to draw us to you. Here are 5 Christian Dear Mushka Jewelry Pieces that come paired with Scripture Cards to cherish or share.

The Expectant Necklace

Psalm 37:5-6 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”

I created this piece for those of you walking through infertility. Of course, it doesn’t stop there and can be gifted for any number of things where you are especially needing to commit your way to the Lord!

The design of the necklace represents an empty cradle, but you may also see it as open hands accepting everything the Lord provides for you.

Some of you have worn this for years. It’s made with so much love and prayer. Mother’s Day is hard for so many of us - me included. You are seen, sister!

The Brimming Necklace

Psalm 107:9 “For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”

Where the Expectant Necklace represents infertility or the long road of adoption, it’s sister necklace, Brimming, is for a long awaited child, or simply being filled with God’s peace. We aren’t promised children, but we are promised fulfillment in God.

These two pieces sit together! Look for the person in your life who needs one of these this year.

For a friend walking through infertility, someone celebrating her first Mother’s Day or someone who has surrendered or found joy in the Lord, consider gifting this piece to her.

The Carried Bracelet

Isaiah 40:11 “He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.”

The Carried  was created with the imagery of God’s arms wrapping around you as you carry your children. I LOVE this reminder that I’m never carrying my children alone.

Pull it open, squeeze it closed. I can get a great fit on my smaller wrist, but it also opens really wide.

Who can you send one of these to? This is going to go so far beyond just a piece of jewelry. God’s Word straight to their heart!

The Thank You Necklace

Philippians 1:3 “I thank my God every time I remember you.”

The Thank You Necklace says thank you in Morse Code! This special and unique necklace is classic with a twist. Pair it with a thank you note to bless a mother or mother-in-law for being such a wonderful woman of God in your life.

The Thank You Necklace also comes in our Thank You Care Box along with an Adorn hair clip and a Prayer Fighter Pack. We’ve done all the work for you! Just ship it to your mother of choice! Leave a note on the View Cart page and we’ll add it!

The Trio Necklace

1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

I gave the Trio Necklace to my mother-in-law when our first child was born. It comes with three rings, but you can add as many as you need! We’ve given her another ring every time a new baby was on the way. She also has one for each of her own sons. All her babies are close to her heart!

The Restore Necklace for Seasons of Hardship

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. · 1 Peter 5:10

The Restore Necklace is for anyone praising God's name for His grace & restoration. As you celebrate your "rainbow baby", finish trauma therapy, cross the finish line of a hard season, etc -- may you know that God is worthy of all glory!
This ideal Mother’s Day gift was created with the idea of a Rainbow Baby in mind.

Many of you have suffered a miscarriage or the loss of a spouse. Let the rainbow stand in the place of a loved one you’ve lost.

I’ve had numerous requests for a piece to represent the completion of trauma therapy.  Wherever you’ve experienced God’s restoration, new life, strength for your walk on this earth, this necklace is a perfect marker for that.

You could add all your family member’s initials to a Called Necklace and add a rainbow where it’s needed. This sweet rainbow would be adorable as a gift for a young girl, too.

Available in gold, rose gold and silver, the little Restore tags are the same size as our Called Necklace initials. The rainbow can be added on to almost any Dear Mushka necklace.

As you celebrate your "rainbow baby", finish trauma therapy, cross the finish line of a hard season, etc., may you know that God is worthy of all glory!

Personalized Gifts for Mother's Day

Mother’s Day is Dear Mushka’s second biggest holiday of the year! We always sell out of some items so this your call to go on and place that order so it arrives to you in plenty of time. Our two most popular orders with personalized add-ons are described below to give you some ideas.

The No. 139 Birthstone Collection

Our No.139 Collection displays beautiful birthstone colors as a lovely reminder of Psalm 139, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made". We were knit together fearfully and wonderfully; never forget this!

Take your pick of a beautiful necklace, bracelet, long or short earrings or create your own sweet collection of pieces!

The pendants come in all 12 of the birthstones. If you prefer something neutral, try the creamy white or charcoal option.

Why not add a stamped initial to your gift? This is an adorable pairing to represent a special person - maybe a child or mother. I suggest a bracelet or bracelet stack to represent a lot of people.

The Called Necklace

This tag necklace holds a sweet round disk on which you can add the initial of your someone special. I wear one with five tags for each of our family members. Add initials over the years - perhaps one with your mother’s initial or a blank tag for a child you’ve lost.

You’re welcome to order a birthstone stone or stamped initial as an add-on to almost any piece! Find our many Add-On options here. They include letters, pearls, stones, hearts and more.

Scripture Verses & Jewelry Pieces To Cling To This Easter

During this time of Lent, I spent time praying about which verses I need to cling to and celebrate with this Easter. I’ve felt inspired to share four jewelry choices and their accompanying scriptures that will encourage you to focus on our Lord Jesus Christ and give Him your fears, your love and your praise.

I’ll be wearing these four pieces this Easter.

The Daughter Earrings

This simple stud with its pop of color feels like spring, like a little robin’s egg, like new life. The verse from Hebrews 4 is so powerful: “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16.

The reason we can find grace to help in times of need is because Jesus “passed through the Heavens.” I am constantly praying and it’s getting me through these times! How awesome it is to know that I can approach the throne because of Jesus! I want to celebrate that this Easter!

The Wrapped Necklace

I wanted a special long necklace for Easter to feel a little dressed up. I chose the Wrapped Necklace. It’s my favorite design at the moment; I love the brass pendant wrapped with wire. It comes with this verse: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23.

We’ve wrapped up our confession of faith. Now let’s wrap our minds around Who our hope is in.  We may not know what’s happening or what the future holds, but our hope is not in a bank account, in an Easter service, in our daily routine - it’s in Jesus Christ. I want to keep my mind right here. He is faithful and I stake my hope in Him.

The Believe Bracelet

The Believe Bracelet highlights a verse from Luke 1:45: “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!". Clinging to His promises is so important. In times of trouble, we have to decide - do we believe or not! I choose to believe!

The Priority Ring

I wear three priority rings all the time, one for each of my boys. The verse attached to this piece is from Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be provided for you.”

Let’s seek first the Kingdom of God. Whether we’re at home or going out, whatever we’re doing, the most important thing is to seek Him.

If you're looking for some other long necklace options for this special time of year, here are our favorites:

The Perspective Necklace

A beautiful piece for right now - God is working all things for the good. Put it on!

The Hatch Necklace

A great baptism gift! We celebrate new life this Easter. He is risen! It’s spring! It’s perfect.

The Net Necklace

A fantastic long necklace with a verse that gently reminds you to cast aside your anxiety, sister. God carries all your anxieties. Don’t try to carry it yourself.

The Bloom Necklace

This necklace is full of the feeling of spring. Consider how the wildflowers grow ... God cares for us so much more than all of these beautiful blooms popping up around us.

The Radiance Necklace

A stunning necklace that comes in peach, aqua, clear and charcoal. I love to picture so many radiant faces lifted up to Jesus as we trust in Jesus with all our hearts. Our hope is not in anything else!

Save the verse card that comes along with each jewelry piece. Write “Easter 2020” on the back to remember forever that this was the season you chose to praise Him, to trust in Him, and to honor Him in all things.

Christian Jewelry Pieces that Share Hope

In the midst of this worldwide pandemic, we know that we are called to be the Light of Christ to our neighbors. These 5 Dear Mushka pieces each have a verse focus for loving your neighbors well and offering the source of Hope and Comfort to those around you.

The Comfort Earrings

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God · 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

The Comfort Earrings are shaped like two tear drops for the reminder that our troubles aren't for nothing. As God draws near to us in our cries we can, in turn, draw near to others in theirs. May these earrings point you to The God of All Comfort.

The Gospel Necklace

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news · Isaiah 52:7

The Gospel Necklace carries these words for us to hold near as we experience hardship. We have been given the most precious gift of the Gospel. Let’s share it with those in need so they will find lasting peace and hope in Him.

The Goodness Earrings

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them · Ephesians 2:10

The Goodness Earrings remind us that God KNEW we would be alive right now, and he has created good works for us to do. Nothing is a surprise for God. Let’s ask Him what good works He’s planned for us today. As we link arms and walk together in spirit, let’s support and encourage each other.

The Verb Necklace

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer · Romans 12:12

For all of us asking the question, “What do I do during this time? These three action steps are always right: Be joyful in hope and share it! Be patient in this affliction! Be faithful in prayer!

The Lantern Necklace

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. · Matthew 5:14

The glass pendant of the Lantern Necklace reflects what’s around it. In the same way, we reflect what we soak up. Use this time to dive into the Word and then reflect Him back to those around us.

We are the lights of Jesus. Panic and fear and death are real, but we have hope to offer! These are the perfect pieces to gift your loved ones and friends during these challenging times and will be delivered straight to their door to offer hope.

3. The Kinship Necklace

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. · 1 John 3:1

This is The Kinship Necklace, made to look like little peas in a pod, reflective of 1 John 3:1. We are children of God! And as such, we beautifully begin to look more like His son, Jesus, every day. If the world is harsh towards us, we can rest assured that it was first harsh towards Him. We are never alone.

2. The Believe Bracelet

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" · Luke 1:45

The Believe Bracelet is made up of tiny 14k gold fill beads, a reminder of all the promises God has given to us. Like Mary, may we believe that the Lord will fulfill each and every one.

1. The Knot Necklace

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.  This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. · Ephesians 5:31-33

Beautifully, Christ cares more about our marriages than even we do. He is in them and for them, and He designed marriage to reflect something much bigger than each of us. For that reason, "knot" seeks to remind every wife to respect and love her husband, and to keep fighting through the hard days. Put it on and say a prayer for your spouse every time you feel it move across your chest!

The Kinship Necklace for Comfort in Uncertain Times

The Kinship Necklace is a personal favorite, one of my most worn pieces. It comes with a beautiful verse from 1 John 3:1, “What kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

The necklace was designed with three small beads made to look like little peas in a pod. Because God loved us and called us His children, we start to look more like Jesus and so look more like each other. Like peas in a pod, we are all daughters and sons of Him. We reflect His love to all who look at us.

I feel this is such a sweet friendship or sister piece. The little pop of color will brighten up any outfit in a gentle and subtle way.

Give this piece to a friend who could really use the reminder that she is a daughter of the Most High God. Maybe gifting this necklace is a way into a relationship with a new neighbor. The Kinship Necklace provides a little happy in times of uncertainty.

As we look at what is happening in the world right now, when we feel like our foot is slipping, let’s read this passage and cling to the truth. God has made us his children. Remember precious words from the Bible - if He has given us His Son, will He not also give us all things? He is the Father who gives good gifts to His children. He satisfies the hungry soul.

When we’re hurting, scared and lonely, we can rest in our daughtership. We will be okay no matter what happens if we stay safely nestled in Him.

A Reminder to Cling to the Lord in Times of Uncertainty

The Stability necklace may appear like a simple everyday necklace, but it certainly makes a statement with its unique design. As you look at it, you’ll know a deeper story lies behind it. I’m praying it starts conversations and allows you an opportunity to share the gospel with others.

This short necklace comes with a much requested verse from Isaiah 33:6, “And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure.”

The two pillars in the Stability necklace, a small one hanging from a larger pillar, serves as a reminder that we must cling to the Lord for our stability, salvation, wisdom and knowledge.

Sometimes it feels as if the future is so uncertain.  We watch the news and wonder what is happening all over the world or in our own country. May we cling to this verse as we live in a broken world. This promise of God as our Stability was originally given to the Israelites, but it applies to us today.

God, be our salvation and wisdom. We look only to You. Be our greatest treasure!
